Replacing Passive Voice with Action Verbs in Resumes

Passive voice is a character count killer. It also makes your resume sound weak.

Instead of saying 'Sales increased by 20% under my supervision' (46 chars), say 'Increased sales by 20%' (22 chars). You cut the length in half while doubling the impact.
